From Seeds to Harvest Youth Foundation is to spearhead a growing movement of community leaders laboring to plant, cultivate, and harvest; lifelong academic proficiency, for at-risk students attending low performing schools in the Greater Atlanta area.
1. Academic Enrichment and Learning– these activities enhance a student’s education by bringing new concept to light or by using old concepts in new and fun interactive and real-life ways
2. Academic Improvement and Remediation- these activities specifically target students whose academic performance has been deemed to need improvement. This would include some or all tutoring, extra practice, or other forms of educational service delivery.
3. Activities for English Language Learners-this program will target students with limited English proficiency.
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, READING, ENGINEERING, ARTS, MATH programs are infused in our daily enrichment activities. FSTH also propose a variety of other preplanned topics such as SAT/ACT prep, financial literacy, employment readiness, and general life-skills sessions. These enrichment sessions support students in their understanding of how the world works and how to make informed decisions affecting their future. Enrichment sessions are conducted by staff and vetted community volunteers who engage the students in both one on one and in small group activities.
Wellness, simply put is the act of being in good health mentally & physically. From weekly mindfulness classes, or Yoga Instructor-Led session professional nutritious, FSTH wants to help you be the best YOU! Food justice is an important part of community justice. We take donations from local businesses and use them to fight hunger. Help us connect with donors and with people in need.
Every 3rd Sunday, we mobilize our teams of volunteers to make a real difference. Join us and see what can be accomplished when you get an impassioned team to focus on change. Our community is full of people who want to help. We work to help the people providing services with the people who need them. Come connect with people in new ways.
From Seeds to Harvest Youth Foundation, Inc is governed by an active board of directors who have the overall accountability of this organization’s fiscal management, developing the organization’s strategic plan, and overseeing program activities to ensure alignment with its vision, mission, and goals. Mekel Summers possess over 20 years of mentoring, volunteering, and heavy community activism. Her passion lies with returning parolees and veterans back into society and into the workforce. Mekel's success comes from encouraging, empowering and uplifting through fundamental values, love, acceptance, and self- worth. We are extremely excited with her as a board member
Isabel Mondragon, is a bilingual college student, pursuing a degree in nursing. She is a community driven young adult with a heavy devotion to public health and wants to make an impact on her community she lives, loves, and rides in. As the voice of the next generation, her insight is highly welcomed and encouraged. WELCOME ISABEL!
